Briante was born on July 20, 1948 in Grenoble. Since 1976 she has exhibited watercolors in various renowned galleries under the pseudonym "Darling". She then received her first award from the School Of Fine Art at the age of 20. By chance she discovered the village of St. Paul De Vence, where she settled in 1994 and whose landscapes inspired her to create various paintings.

Since then, Briante has perfected her use of watercolors and also paints in oils, resulting in a palette of landscapes and colorful flowers that she exhibits in her gallery "Rue De La Pourtone". Her pictures capture the light of Provence, which she presents in all its beauty and simplicity.
