biography
Barbara Keidel studied from 1959 to 1964 at the Berlin University of the Arts under Ludwig Gabriel Schrieber , with whom she was a master student and met her future husband , Michael Schoenholtz . In 1965 she received the Karl Hofer Society Prize.
Barbara Keidel was a member of the German Artists' Association , the New Group in Munich, the West German Artists' Association and the Association for Original Etching .
In 1996 she received the lithography prize from the Association for Original Etching in Munich and in 1997 the work scholarship from Villa Waldberta in Feldafing . In 2008 she was a teacher at the Chinese-German Art Academy in Hangzhou .
She had been married to the sculptor Michael Schoenholtz since 1965.
